Certain weapons and spells are Armor Piercing. They will completely ignore the enemies' defense.

Caleb can cast Chaos, which makes his attacks temporarily Armor Piercing. His Limit Break 'Seismic Blast' is Armor Piercing.

The sword Soulcleaver is naturally armor piercing.

Thanators and Phantom Stalker have armor piercing attacks.
