Esseldir was a warrior who defended Bavelock from the Aelas army of Tamaska from the east. There is a statue of him just outside the Bavelock library.

He is a well known figure in Andora's history.

There is a book in the library named 'The Chronicles of Esseldir the Great', telling how he fights off a troll.
